Mannum

We headed for the Murray River again ,this time is was to be the historic town of Mannum and to meet up with Mick & Vick (Niknoff) for a few days, we usually have such a good time that it always runs into a week. We arrived about the same time and decided to camp on the river opposite the town at a park run by the shire at $10. a night a lovely spot but a bit busy on the weekends. With camp set up Mick was keen to show of his new bike which at only $60. was a bargain. A crossing on the ferry into town and then a ride  along the river and up a great big hill soon sorted us out . The nights where great around the fire with the lights of town reflecting on the river.  On the Friday night it was of to the Mannum Club for the meat raffle and a lovely meal but even with a prayer from the salvo lady we had no luck(Mick recons they put the tourist tickets in the bin when we buy them).

On Sunday I gave Mick a hand to un block there drain and to change the pivot blocks on the van one side was a bit of a drama but all ended up being good. We had some good bike rides and as always lots of laughs. With one more trip to the club for dinner and lots of walks though town ,two days turned into four and it was time for us to head to the Fleurieu Peninsula and M&V to go on up the river.
