The Development Road south was pretty uneventfully with a two night stop at the Coen River. We were planing to take the road from Artemis to Dunbar but on advice from Musgrave road house I contacted Koolatah stn and was told they had one of there utes stuck in the crossing for three hours while they went to get there grader to pull it out. With that information it meant the long way around through Mareeba but on the plus side we could camp at Mc cloud River again.

After a few nights at Mareeba and a couple of one night road side stops we decided to stay in Karumba a town I have heard a lot about from my prawning days. Staying at caravan parks dose not do much for us and this one confirmed it. It makes me wonder why, when we have so much land in this big country that they must put you so close to one another that you can hear each other fart!!!!!
