The bypass road north was good as long as you slow down at the dips .We spent the nights in bush camps as long as we were away from the road. Deciding to just keep going and look around more on the way back down.

We stayed at Seisia in the caravan park and did day trips all around. Then went to Thursday and Horn island staying at Horn Island for two nights in the resort which is also the W2 museum.
The couple that own the resort do a really good W2 tour of both Islands.
