Old Telegraph Track

After ten days we left Seisia and headed for Eliot/Twin Falls camp ground. The road in was easy for the Ute & van just one large water crossing and we were lucky to get a good spot to camp as this was going to be home for the van while we did the northern part of the track in the ute. We find it is a good idea to get to these popular camp grounds at about 10 in the morning, as those that are leaving have gone.  First job was to check the water falls out as we where really hanging out for a swim and boy we where not disappointed what an awsone spot.

It was time to do the Telegraph Track a trip I had heard so much about ,setting of early we where soon at the first crossing and being at the tale end of the year there where so many tracks to take so it was park up and have a walk though and then pick the best from that.

Some parts were a bit rough and took a few goes. But it is of the best place and you can swim in most of the crossings. Most people seem to go from south to north we only came across one other lot going the same way as us but traveled a lot quicker then we were.

It makes you wonder how tough are forfarthers were when you think of want we have today and how they did it. Well we did the north part of the track so it was back to camp for a few days of R&R.
